COMPANY OVERVIEW

Mauer Sports Nutrition is a startup health food company that sells protein bars, collagen shots, and weight management bars. They launched in 2015 — about two years prior to when I started working for them in October of 2017. (More about the company in the first writing sample below.)

CHALLENGE

The company had been struggling to pick up online sales traction. In short, my job was to bring e-commerce to life.

SOLUTION

From social media maestro to email copywriter to web developer, a plethora of digital hats were worn during my time at Mauer Sports Nutrition. But first things first, the website needed a makeover.

I chose to begin with writing new copy for the “About Us” page. In doing so, I gained a thorough understanding for the Mauer Sports Nutrition brand, which enabled the remaining steps to flow seamlessly.

A glance at the previous website.

Less GNC. More Whole Foods.

I think we can all agree the previous version appeared to be outdated. Aesthetics aside, ‘Fuel Your Fitness’ failed to articulate Kenny Mauer’s philosophy. He cares about ingredients (non-gmo, gluten free, organic, etc).
